Wash Mitt Test: Meguiars Microfiber Wash Mitt – £9.99 / $6.38
We really like this wash mitt. Although it was quite thick, from inside the mitt you can get your fingers around different sections of the vehicle that sponges wouldn’t touch, like between the lettering, numbers or badges on the car.
Grills and parts like recessed front fog lights were also easily cleaned too. The wash mitt was soft and held plenty of water and shampoo suds (as promised), plus it did glide across the bodywork well. Whereas sponges will push dirt along, the wash mitt picks it up and into the material, which then comes out when you rinse it. This is definitely an essential part of car care, and everyone should own a wash mitt.
A good quality product. Worked well and although quite pricey, will outlast a sponge by miles, and will also clean better than one too.

I am very interested in your wash mitt,i hope you can contact me please, and give me more advice, thanks.
Hi.
Thanks for reading the review. There is a link to Meguiars U.K where you can find out where to buy it.
Cheers,
Chris (Admin).
Does the mitt has the same problem as other Megs mitts with the elasticated band that stretches out and looses elasticity over time? I have the wool mitt and it lost most if not all elasticity so now I hold it by the bug shifter side otherwise it keeps slipping off my hand.
Cheers
Rob
Hi Rob.
Thanks for the comment, and for coming to the site.
The Meguiars wash mitt hasn’t done to bad for that tbh. It’s lost a little elasticity, but I can guarantee it’ll happen to most wash mitts anyway.
We have a Muc-Off one that has done the same.
We reckon using them in hot water will knacker the elastic material.
Hope that helps – keep reading the site and commenting.
All the best,
Chris and Matt.
